It’s mains powered. The giant cigarette LED lamp plugs into a standard socket and runs off that, so there are no batteries to charge or replace and no dimming as a charge runs down. Switch it on and it glows for as long as you like.
What that means in practice is placement: pick a spot with a plug within reach so the cable runs tidily rather than trailing across a room. Because it’s a floor lamp at around a metre tall, it wants a clear corner or a spot beside a bar or desk.
The upside of mains over battery is consistent, full brightness all evening with nothing to recharge. The Marlboro Cigarette LED Lamp and the pink Barbie Cigarette LED Lamp both work this way, plug in and go, no assembly.
