A statement floor lamp is one bold, oversized light that becomes the focal point of a room rather than just brightening it. In a home bar, man cave or gaming corner, the statement lamp people photograph and ask about most is the giant cigarette-shaped floor lamp, around a metre tall, glowing warm from the tip. Prices start at £149, supplied UK-wide by Boardsy. If you want a room to feel finished in one move, this is the piece that does it.
Most novelty lighting is small and forgettable and ends up in a drawer. A proper statement floor lamp is different, because at around 100cm it anchors a corner the way furniture does, and the giant cigarette shape is exactly why guests reach for their phone the second they clock it.
What makes a lamp a statement piece?
Scale and personality. The Marlboro Cigarette LED Lamp at £149 is warm orange and white, mains powered, zero assembly, and stands as a feature not a trinket. For a bolder, brighter look there’s the pink Barbie Cigarette LED Lamp at £249, the same idea in a punchier colourway for gaming setups and louder interiors. Boardsy sources and supplies both, ready to ship.
Where does a statement floor lamp work?
- Home bars and man caves, as the one bold piece that makes a corner feel designed rather than half-built.
- Gaming rooms and streaming setups, where it reads brilliantly on camera and adds depth behind the desk with no glare.
- Studios, salons and bars that want a photogenic corner, since a lamp people photograph is free reach every time it lands on a story.
Is it warm light or a colour hit?
The orange lamp gives a warm, atmospheric glow, the kind of light you want in a bar of an evening rather than a flat overhead wash. The pink puts out a bolder colour hit if you want the lamp itself to be the statement. Both are mains powered, so you plug in and go, and the LED runs cool and low energy so you can leave it glowing all night.
Is it a hassle to set up?
No. It ships ready to use with no assembly, runs off a standard plug, and beyond the odd wipe there’s nothing to maintain. Because it’s a floor lamp at around a metre, give it a clear corner with a socket in reach so the cable runs tidily.
What does a statement floor lamp cost?
The Marlboro Cigarette LED Lamp is £149 and the pink Barbie Cigarette LED Lamp is £249, in GBP with USD and EUR options and worldwide delivery from the UK. Both are stock items, so there’s no lead time to wait out, pick your colour and order.
The bottom line
One bold floor lamp does more for a room than any amount of LED strip. Warm orange for a classic den, pink for something louder, both ship ready to plug in. Grab the £149 Marlboro Cigarette LED Lamp for the warm glow or the £249 Barbie Cigarette LED Lamp for the bold pink.
